The discount is valid from July 1 to August 31 and applies to physical tickets bought at the box office at any entrance between 5 pm. and 7 pm. The gates to the zoo, pavilions and restaurants close at 7 pm, but the grounds are open until 9 pm.

Prague Zoo’s director, Miroslav Bobek, said, “There are now a whole host of incentives to visit the zoo in the summer. Besides the dozens of baby animals, the new male seal, or the piles of ice on tropical days, there is also a new discount on admission in the evening. We want visitors to take full advantage of the long, sunny days, which is why, as of today until the end of the summer holidays, they can go on evening walks around the zoo for just one hundred crowns.”

Today’s Prague Zoo Under Ice means the polar bears, kea, bison, Przewalski’s horses and capybaras were given ice to play with and cool down. Visitors could invigorate themselves in the pile of ice cubes by the Radegast statue. In all, the animals received just under eight tons of ice today. The zoo will repeat this up to ten times over the summer, depending on the weather forecast, giving news of it in advance on its website and social networks.

New water misters are also in operation in the grounds, for example by the children’s tram or in front of Rákos’ House. Currently there are over ten of them around the zoo and more will be set up during July.
