Opening time

*  Ticket offices, entrance turnstiles, pavilions and attractions, souvenir shops, restaurants, staffed refreshment stands and snack bars close no later than 7 pm, but you may remain in the zoo until 9 pm. 
** On 24 December, ticket offices, entrance turnstiles, pavilions and attractions, souvenir shops, restaurants and snack bars close at 2 pm, but you may remain in the zoo until 4 pm.

Please note: The opening hours of the ticket offices and zoo entrances differ from the zoo’s opening hours.

Opening hours of the ticket offices and zoo entrances

January, February:
At weekends and on public holidays, all* entrances and ticket offices are open until 3:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 3:30 pm, while the south entrance and its ticket office close at 2:00 pm.

March:
At weekends and on public holidays, all* entrances and ticket offices are open until 4:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 4:30 pm, while the south entrance and its ticket office close at 3:00 pm.

April, May:
At weekends and on public holidays, all entrances and ticket offices are open until 5:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 5:30 pm, while the north and south entrances and their ticket offices close at 4:00 pm.

June, July, August:
The main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 7:00 pm, while the north and south entrances with their ticket offices close at 6:30 pm.

September:
At weekends and on public holidays, all entrances and ticket offices are open until 5:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 5:30 pm, while the north and south entrances and their ticket offices close at 4:00 pm.

October:
At weekends and on public holidays, all entrances and ticket offices are open until 4:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 4:30 pm, while the north and south entrances and their ticket offices close at 3:00 pm.

November, December:
At weekends and on public holidays, all entrances and ticket offices are open until 3:30 pm. On weekdays, the main entrance and the Sklenářka entrance with their ticket offices are open until 3:30 pm, while the north and south entrances and their ticket offices close at 2:00 pm.
On 24 December, all ticket offices and entrances close at 2:00 pm.

 Closures of pavilions and exhibits and other restrictions in and around the zoo

• For operational reasons, the Sichuan Pavilion, the Rákos’ House, all walk-through bird exhibits and visitor paths around the Great Aviary and the Sichuan Pavilion are closed until further notice.
  
• The information center is temporarily closed due to renovations. If necessary, please contact us at: 737 208 995. Thank you for your understanding.
• Until the start of the season in March 2026, the Bororo Reserve playground, the Terrarium and the Ball’s Pyramid will be closed due to reconstruction.
• Every Friday, the fur seal exhibit is closed for pool cleaning. If a public holiday falls on a Friday, cleaning takes place on Thursday instead.
• The children's tram is temporarily out of service.
• The path linking the lower and upper parts of the zoo with the viewpoint above the vineyard is open in favourable weather conditions.
