Prague Zoo keeps 687 animal kinds, 91 of which didn’t have any sponsor or adoptive parent on 1st November. Therefore the Zoo launched another year of its traditional advertising campaign, which presents selected “orphans” on billboards and cityligh advertising surfaces.
“The campaign Adopt an Animal is in its six year, this year it was enhanced by a new interactive feature,” said Vít Kahle, head of marketing and PR department. “Citylight advertising surfaces are equipped with the QR code which enables to quickly adopt an animal from the poster. All you have to do is to use the reader in your mobile phone to read the code, which takes you directly to the adoption form.”
Advertising pictures taken by Tomáš Adamec and graphically processed by Vladimír Veselý capture Zoo animals: sitatunga, dracaena, scarlet ibis and the common brown lemur. Billboards and citylight advertising can be seen around Prague until the end of December.
In previous years, the campaign celebrated big success. In 2009, it attracted 1542 sponsors, out of which 957 were new and 585 extended contracts for one year. All of the 90 orphans found an adoptive parent. In 2010, it was collected CZK 3 291 118 during the campaign, which is 318 742 more than in 2009.
Sponsoring also possiblePeople can not only adopt various animals, but also sponsor them. You can choose from the list at www. zoopraha.cz, and contribute anything from CZK 100. If you want to adopt, there is a yearly adoption contract between CZK 1000 and 50 000 (each animal type has exact sum that corresponds with expenses of its keeping).
Apart from good feeling, the adoptive parents will have a plate with their name on the fence by the animal, certificate of adoption, photo of the animal, free family ticket, invitation to significant social gatherings and all-year subscription of the Trojský koník magazine.
