The staff
In the year of 2006 the structural organisation of the Prague zoo was changed and this happened namely due to the finished reconstruction of the zoo after the flood. The flood resulted in the building of new expositions but also the demands for ensuring of the operation of the zoo in the field of breeding and contact with the public were higher. Within the unit for contact with the public a new expositional department was created. It will also be responsible for looking after the whole information and orientation system within the area of the zoo and outside as well. In the breeding unit a new independent department responsible for the pavilion of elephants was founded.

The average age of the staff of the zoo was 39 years while the most numerous was the group 21–30 years (31 % of all employees).
The average length of employment in the zoo was 7.5 years. The most numerous was the category of up to 5 years (61.8 %), 8.8 % of employees worked in the zoo for more than 20 years.
The average total length of employment of the workers in the core business was 8 years.
