Takin
A young takin was born.
In the group of mountain ungulates called takins there is a new member. It is a male takin that was born on 22nd March. His parents are the female Kurti and the male Narko and it is the third young takin born in the Prague zoo. The first one was the female Jiřinka who is now part of the exposition group in the top part of the zoo. The second young takin was a male. It had congenital defects and did not survive the first weeks. The new takin baby does very well. After the first weeks in the warm stable, the takin family is now enjoying the sun in their range.
