Prague Zoo shows new baby gorilla
The Gorilla Pavilion opens to the public on Thursday 29th April at 2 p.m. The biggest attraction of the pavilion will be the third baby gorilla, born to the female gorilla Kijivu.
Number of visitors will be regulated
“The regime will be rigorously regulated at least until next week,” said the Director of Prague Zoo, Miroslav Bobek. “Visitors will be let in the pavilion in small groups and will be allowed to spend only a few minutes in there.” In case of any problems, the pavilion can close again.
Mobile phone first, then gorilla
Thursday will also be the culmination of the event for Prague schoolchildren who joined in the collection of old mobile phones. 67 primary school classes confirmed they will be present on the day of the competition.
Each class has to bring the minimum of twenty old mobile phones to get the chance to win a number of small prizes and one main prize. The main prize is one day at the zoo, where every pupil will get the opportunity to work in a different position, whether as a keeper or the director.
